Hinge published a report Thursday on the best ways to start a conversation with your matches and improve your chances of getting a response.
The report is the result of a month-long experiment, during which members of the Hinge team crafted over 100 different openers and let a small portion of its users access them.
The poorest performers are typically negative or pessimistic in tone."Matches tend to respond to different types of questions, depending on their age, according to Hinge's study. (No one likes those.) Instead, talk about food: Hinge's report found that women are 40 percent more likely to reply to a message regarding food or culinary trends.
The subject line of your email or message is probably the most important part of starting a conversation with a girl online.
If this doesn’t peak her interest, she most likely won’t read any further.
But there are also a lot of women who are on online dating sites because they would actually like to meet someone.
They don't just want an online friend and they're not on there to boost their ego. I still use it time and again when I'm bored, probably like some women do.
